I mentioned in the last post that Annaka was starting to crawl. Well she has been getting much better over the past few days and is officially getting from point A to point B with much thought and purpose. She knows where she wants to be and can get there in a hurry. This new found mobility is making her less content to be held or to be in her exersaucer....she wants to be able to move!! Grandpa Najewicz was right! When we were visiting at Easter, he predicted that she would be crawling in three weeks....and that's about all it took.
Annaka also continues to pull herself up on everything. This has lead to some falls and some crying but it is all part of the learning process. She can stand quite well and can even stay steady when only using one hand to hold on. She can even reach down to the floor to pick up a toy while keeping her standing balance.
It is amazing to see the progress she has made over the last week....the learning curve is huge!!
This is how Annaka likes to use her exersaucer now. She loves to play with the toys but just don't trap her in the seat. She wants her independence already!

Annaka got this teddy bear from her Great Grandma and Grandpa Shenk for Christmas....it's still a little big for her to carry around but she likes his company in her crib. She likes to play with the silky ribbon when she wakes up.
